Arc Pulse is bringing back its crazy case thingy for the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL. Both variants are up for pre-order now and you should have yours within the first two weeks of September.
What is Arc Pulse? These are the 2-piece cases that you might have seen years ago on an iPhone. They look alien-esque in design, are made of all sorts of different metals, and typically carry really, really high price tags. They promise lots of protection and a way to still feel your actual phone.
None of that changes for the Pixel 11 Arc Pulse, but we are happy to see them continue to make them for Google’s Pixel line. We got our first Pixel Arc Pulse with the Pixel 9 and enjoyed them for the Pixel 10 too.
For the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, we have Silver and Matte Black options, with prices of $89.99 and $69.99. Estimated shipping is set for September 7 to September 11, so yes, this is a pre-order.
The Arc Pulse is never going to be for everyone, mostly because they are very expensive, but also because they offer a unique design that gives off the impression of them not offering much protection.
While I’m not going to try and convince you that these bring the most amazing design and your idea of style is trash if you don’t like them, I can at least give some feedback on the level of protection.
I’ve used these “cases” for years now on both Pixel and iPhones and have dropped them on numerous occasions. These are mostly pocket drops, but they’ve also slipped off a desk or low table at times too. Never once have these cases failed me when they land on a corner or on their backsides. The Arc Pulse uses high-end metals paired with a shock absorber that really does allow for drops from various heights. I’ve hit both bottom and top corners and survived them all.
The area you might find issue with would be coverage over the back glass, because the backs are exposed should something brush up against your phone – it could scratch.
We should have one for our Pixel 11 Pro units soon and will likely report back on if anything changes.
