Nothing made it official today, announcing that Nothing OS 5.0, based on Android 17, will start its roll out to supported devices beginning August 25.
The list of expected supported devices dates back to the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, as well as the CMF Phone 2 Pro. Everything newer should be in line to receive the device, but we’re still awaiting official availability details from Nothing.
As for what to expect from Nothing OS 5.0, the company kept its tease very simple. All they said was, “More joy, every day.” It’s not a lot to go on, but realistically, the base is Android 17. If you are familiar with the changes there, then you’ll have an idea of what to expect.
