In 2025, Duke won the ACC despite finishing the season with a 9-5 record.

The Blue Devils survived a chaotic five-way tie for second place, going 6-2 in conference play before defeating Virginia in overtime in the ACC Championship Game.

However, Miami proved to be the ACC’s best team. The Hurricanes secured one of the final spots in the College Football Playoff and took full advantage, making a run all the way to the National Championship Game before falling to Indiana.

In 2026, Miami is now the heavy favorites to win the conference. Check out the latest odds to win the ACC at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Aug. 17.

Here’s what to know about the oddsboard:

The Favorite: Miami went 13-3 last season, though two of its three losses came in conference play. The Hurricanes made a historic run to the title game, beating Texas A&M on the road, Ohio State and Ole Miss before falling just short against undefeated Indiana. Now, Miami’s roster looks just as good, if not better, heading into 2026. Quarterback Darian Mensah transferred in from Duke after throwing for 3,973 yards and 34 touchdowns, the second-most in the country. Malachi Toney also returns as the only active sophomore to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards last season. Toney finished fifth in the country in receiving yards as a 17-year-old true freshman. Mario Cristobal and company will look to build off their breakout 2025 season and are the clear favorites to win the ACC.

Biggest Sleeper: Keep an eye on Virginia Tech. The Hokies haven’t won more than seven games in any of the last five seasons and went just 3-9 in 2025. However, a new era begins with James Franklin taking over as head coach. Franklin went a combined 128-60 as the head coach of Vanderbilt and Penn State and now takes over a roster that added the No. 16 transfer portal class in the country and third-best in the ACC. Outside of road games against Clemson and Miami, Virginia Tech also has a very favorable schedule. At +2800 in what is expected to be the weakest of the Power 4 conferences, there’s some value on the Hokies as a long shot.
