Five Nights At Freddy’s fans will soon be able to visit the central pizza restaurant in real life.
The franchise, which started in video games and has since expanded into other media such as film, is notable for centring on Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and its murderous animatronic mascots.
It has now been confirmed that the series is teaming up with New Jersey entertainment and retail centre American Dream to open a real-life version of the pizzeria.
Opening in 2027, the site will be located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and will reimagine the location as designed by ScottGames, featuring two animatronic shows, while fans will be able to eat alongside playing arcade games and participating in survival multiplayer game experiences.
The two shows will be Main Stage with Freddy and the Fazbear Band, alongside the Pirate Cove with Foxy the Pirate.
“The only way this experience succeeds is if it’s created by a team that knows Five Nights at Freddy’s inside and out,” said American Dream’s Atreyu Alcantar, who is also creative lead.
“The animatronic show has to be authentic. The food has to be high quality. And above all else, we’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza – we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
“This experience will immerse longtime fans in the world they’ve imagined for years while welcoming an entirely new audience to discover it for the first time.”
The first Five Nights At Freddy’s game was released in 2014, and the franchise launched its first film in 2023 starring Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail and Matthew Lillard. A sequel was released last year.
In a one-star review of Five Nights At Freddy’s 2, NME said: “Despite the odd flash of gore (this is a ‘15’ certificate, so expect minimal scares), the film’s biggest crime is that it’s utterly boring. More uninspiring than a supermarket Margherita pizza, it’s one of the poorest movies of 2025.”
