Olivia Rodrigo has played a surprise intimate show in Brooklyn and launched her own Bandcamp page – check out footage below.

The singer only announced the show at 10am on Thursday (August 6), before taking to the stage that evening to play in front of roughly 1000 people at the Warsaw venue in Greenpoint.

Tickets, which cost $25 and had to be collected from the venue’s box office, sold out within two hours.

Rodrigo played a 15-song set that was dominated by her new album ‘You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love‘, with four songs – ‘My Way’, ‘U + Me = <3′, Maggots For Brains’ and ‘Expectations’ – getting their first public performances, apart from an unaired Austin City Limits taping last month.

Check out footage from the performance here, including Rodrigo taking a fan’s phone and singing into the camera before turning it around and showing the audience:

    Olivia Rodrigo played:

    ‘Drop Dead’
    ‘U + Me = <3’
    ‘Stupid Song’
    ‘My Way’
    ‘Bad Idea Right?’
    ‘Honeybee’
    ‘Drivers License’
    ‘Making The Bed’
    ‘Maggots For Brains’
    ‘All-American Bitch’
    ‘Good 4 U’
    ‘The Cure’
    ‘Less’
    ‘Expectations’
    ‘Deja Vu’

After the gig, Rodrigo launched her first-ever Bandcamp page, which currently offers one track – ‘Purple (Happy Version)’ – an alternate recording of the song from her new album, which is available for $1.50.

Proceeds will be donated to the Daisy Chain Fields Fund, and you can check it out below.

The fund is connected to Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Field festival, an all-women event that will take place in Irvine, California on August 29, with a line-up including Chappell Roan, Bikini Kill, Doechii, Garbage, Stevie Nicks and Karen O.

Rodrigo will also play at the event, and has teased the possibility of singing a duet of ‘Landslide’ with Nicks. Speaking about the inspiration for the festival, she said: “When I pictured this festival, I had an image in my head of girls sitting underneath a tree, like, making little daisy chains or flower crowns or friendship bracelets. I also just like the idea of a daisy chain, how we can all be individual links in this chain that is larger than the individual.”

She is set to launch her huge ‘Unraveled’ world tour next month, starting in North America and arriving at The O2 in London next April. See the full list of dates here and find any remaining tickets here.

NME gave ‘You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love’ four-and-a-half stars, writing: ” Here is a major popstar who is not afraid to get weirder and more wonderful, to give even more of themselves over in their art. ‘You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love’ is undeniable evidence of Rodrigo’s growth: as a songwriter, composer, and as a human being.”
