Apple announced the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro Max alongside the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro during an event on September 9. The phones are, as you’d expect, priced towards the premium end of the market although you can spread the cost if you choose to buy a carrier-subsidized model.
Alternatively, buying directly from an Apple Store or from Apple’s online website will get you an unlocked device which can then be used on your choice of carrier.
The new iPhones will be available for preorder from September 12, with devices officially going on sale on September 19. As for how much you will pay for one of the new phones, that will depend on where you happen to live.
The iPhone Air starts at $999 in the United States, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1,199 with both models starting at 256GB of storage. More storage is available if you need it and are willing to pay the extra, as you might expect.
