The big news in wireless charging is Qi 2.2 (or Qi2 25W, as some are calling it). It’s the latest version of the Qi2 wireless charging standard that increases charging speed from its previous 15W maximum to 25W, close to what you get fromwired cable charging for phones and other mobile devices.
Apple was first to bring 25W wireless charging to market on its MagSafe Charger alongside the iPhone 16 launch, which was followed by the Qi 2.2 standard. Qi2.2 promised all sorts of multi-function fast wireless chargers, such as the Belkin UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Charging Dock.
The first power bank to be certified as Qi 2.2 compliant is Ugreen’s MagFlow Magnetic Wireless Power Bank (10000mAh, Qi2 25W). We tested it to discover whether the benefits of 25W wireless charging are all they are promised to be.

25W vs 15W
There are four basic speeds of wireless charging: non-magnetic 5W Qi, 7.5W MagSafe-compatible, 15W Qi2 and MagSafe, and now 25W MagSafe and Qi 2.2.
At 15W, an iPhone should wirelessly charge to 50 percent in around 45 minutes in the right conditions. Manufacturers claim 25W will bring that charging time down to 25 minutes in ideal conditions. As with all wireless charging, actual results can vary slightly depending on factors like device settings, usage during charging, and ambient temperature.
In our tests using an iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 26, the Ugreen MagFlow 25W 10K Power Bank powered the phone from 0-50 percent in just over 30 minutes: 32 on the first test and 33 on the second, close to the 25 minute claim.
As a comparison, we tested the 25W MagFlow with an iPhone 15 Pro (running iOS 18), as this model iPhone will be limited to 15W—only the iPhone 16 and 17 families running at least iOS 26 will gain the full advantages of Qi2 25W wireless charging. This test saw the power bank’s output drop to a maximum of 15W, and the older iPhone was charged to 50 percent in 44 minutes, about 12 minutes slower. The Ugreen 25W power bank felt remarkably cool during our tests.

More power options
The Ugreen MagFlow Power Bank also offers 30W wired charging via its built-in USB-C cable that can charge at up to 30W. So iPhones 15-17 can can connect directly to the 30W USB-C cable. Older iPhones can connect a USB-C-to-Lightning cable to the power bank’s spare USB-C port.
Wired charging is always faster than wireless, and the built-in cable means you can elegantly clamp the iPhone magnetically to the power bank while still using the cable. You’ll have to choose between wired and wireless charging, but the firm magnetic attachment makes the wired charging as convenient as wireless.
You can also charge three devices at the same time: one iPhone wirelessly, another device via the USB-C cable, and a third through connecting a separate cable to the power bank’s 30W USB-C port. However, using all three charging points limits overall charging to 12.5W, which will certainly significantly increase the phone charging times.
The power bank itself charges at a 30W input speed via the built-in USB-C cable. A full power bank recharge takes around two hours, so don’t leave this aspect to chance before undertaking a long time away from a wall charger.

Battery charging tests
The Ugreen MagFlow power bank has a battery capacity of 10,000mAh (milliamp hours) or 36Wh. Due to battery size, that’s about as high a capacity as you would want to magnetically clamp to your iPhone.
In our tests, it recharged a flat iPhone 16 Pro from 0 percent to full once, with enough capacity left to charge another time 0-44 percent, giving it a Macworld Recharge Score of 144 percent. This is not as high a score as some 10K magnetic wireless power banks. The average score in our tests of the best magnetic wireless power banks is around 155 percent. The most efficient we’ve tested—the EcoFlow RAPID 10K and Anker Zolo 10K—hit 190 percent.
While not the highest, a near 1.5x recharge is not an unreasonable score—and remember that you get the 25W charging speed.

Design
Like the rest of Ugreen’s MagFlow family of 25W wireless charging products, the 10K power bank comes in a pleasing shade of what Apple would call Mist Blue, setting it apart from the largely black or gray available power banks. It measures 4.4 x 2.8 x 0.8 inches (11.1 x 7 x 2.1cm) and weighs 9oz (254g), which is about average for a 10K power bank.
The cable is made from a hardy cloth material and doubles as a carrying handle when the USB-C connector is neatly tucked into the slot at the top. Having an integrated cable means you don’t have to carry a separate cable to charge a second non-wireless device or to recharge the battery pack itself.
There is an informative digital display that shows you the percentage of battery capacity left in the power bank, and also indicated when the phone is fast-charging with a little lightning icon. These types of displays are much more informative and accurate than the standard four LED lights on most other banks,
Price
The Ugreen MagFlow Magnetic Wireless Power Bank (10000mAh, Qi2 25W) is priced at $90/£80. You can find cheaper 10K power banks, but remember that you are paying for the 25W speed boost as well as the premium design features.
