Trump Sues New York Times for $15 Billion Over “Decades of Lies” – Research Snipers

US President Donald Trump launched the next stage of his approach to freedom of the press: the renowned daily newspaper New York Times and four of their journalists have now been sued at $ 15 billion.

    All -round against a newspaper

As Trump announced on his Truth Social platform, the application was submitted yesterday on Monday at a district court in Florida. Specifically, the allegations are directed against several articles and a book published in the months before the 2024 election. Trump also accuses the New York Times to slander it “intentionally and maliciously” for decades. The newspaper has knowingly published false claims or at least spread it “carelessly regardless of the truth”, according to the documents. On the part of the newspaper, one did not react to inquiries about the lawsuit.

“The ‘Times’ has for decades lies about her favorite president (me!), My family, my company, the America First movement, Maga and our nation as a whole,” wrote Trump. He also accused the sheet of becoming a “mouthpiece of the radical left”. He referred to the election recommendation of the newspaper for Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election campaign – which is a decade -old practice for large newspapers in the USA. Trump did not provide more specific evidence of his allegations of the wrong reporting.

The New York Times himself had already reported last week that Trump had threatened legal steps for reporting on his alleged connection to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Specifically, it was about a suggestive birthday greeting that Epstein is said to have received. Trump denies that he has ever written the note.

    Popular remedy

It is not the first time that Trump sued large media houses. In July he had sued Wall Street Journal and its owner Rupert Murdoch to $ 10 billion, this is also about articles about its alleged proximity to Epstein. In addition, he now referred to previous disputes with ABC News and the station Paramount, which ended in comparisons over more than $ 15 million. With the new lawsuit, Trump continues his aggressive line in dealing with the press.

Here it can affect anyone who reports critically about Trump or his Maga movement. So-called SLAP suits with a high amount of dispute have now become a popular means of political rights. These are not necessarily about getting right in court. Rather, critics should be silenced by covering them with expensive and lengthy legal disputes.
