TAIPEI :Taiwan’s Yageo has completed a tender offer for Japan’s Shibaura Electronics with an 87.3 per cent acceptance rate, the electronic components maker said on Monday.
“Yageo will comply with Japanese regulations and continue the privatisation of Shibaura, aiming to complete the process by Q1 2026,” the company said in a statement.
It described the acquisition as a pivotal advancement for its global strategy within the electronic components industry.
