T-Mobile has announced three new wireless plans for students that are particularly good deals for the streaming-inclined.
The Student Perks plans are identical to T-Mobile’s newly upgraded Essentials and Experience plans, except those who qualify get them at a significant discount. The plans are also all eligible for AutoPay, which offers an additional $5 off every month.

Wireless plans starting at $30/month, all of which include Unlimited 5G & 4G LTE data, unlimited talk & text, nationwide 5G coverage, and exclusive perks with T-Mobile Tuesdays.
Every plan includes one phone line with unlimited talk and text, with the addition of unlimited premium data in the second ‘Experience More’ tier. The two more expensive ‘Experience’ plans pack in the streaming services, including discounted access to Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV, which would otherwise run you around $34 every month.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown of what’s included in each plan, which you can also find on T-Mobile’s website:
In addition to what’s described above, all of these plans include access to the range of standard T-Mobile perks, including 12 months of free DashPass by DoorDash, weekly T‑Mobile Tuesdays discounts, and a $5 movie ticket every month. Students are also eligible for a student-exclusive 5G Home Internet bundle that includes a virtual prepaid card of up to $200.
The new lines are launching as we head into Back-to-School season and play into T-Mobile’s continued strategy to make its services as accessible as possible. That strategy included the launch of a convenient platform for switching services online. T-Mobile also now offers same-day device delivery through DoorDash.
The Student Perks discounts are specifically launching alongside Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) Flex 36, a new financing plan that lowers upfront costs to as low as possible. According to a press release from the company, “EIP Flex 36 helps lower upfront costs for everyone and eliminates them entirely for well-qualified customers — meaning they can walk away with a new phone and pay NOTHING upfront.” T-Mobile’s existing financing plan with 0% APR has also been extended to 36 months.
Andre Almeida, T-Mobile’s head of Chief Marketing of Brand and Broadband Office, spoke on the combined launch of these new plans and services: “Lowering upfront costs with EIP Flex 36 and making our plans more accessible through Student Perks are just the latest ways T‑Mobile is continuing to remove the barriers that keep people from experiencing everything T‑Mobile has to offer.”
