New floral design series showcases international traditions adapted with Arkansas-sourced materials.

Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, September 21, 2025 — Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio has released the FUSION360° Botanical Atlas Collection, a five-piece floral design series that interprets traditional botanical arrangements inspired by design philosophies from Italy, Lebanon, India, Turkey, and France using locally-sourced Arkansas materials. The collection debuted at the FUSION360° culinary experience on August 28, 2025, at Rusty Tractor Vineyards.

Created by floral artist Althea Wiles, founder and creative director of Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio, the collection demonstrates how international floral design principles can be adapted using regional materials while maintaining cultural authenticity and symbolic meaning.

Italian-American Fusion Design: The Tuscan-inspired arrangement features burgundy roses and purple ranunculus paired with Arkansas-grown celosia, dahlias, and amaranthus. Olive branches and eucalyptus provide Mediterranean authenticity while locally-sourced grasses, vines, and abelia create textures that reference Arkansas landscapes. The design captures Italian countryside abundance through organic shapes and rich jewel tones.

Lebanese-American Fusion Design: Cedar branches, Lebanon’s national emblem, form the architectural foundation of this arrangement, symbolizing strength and endurance. Arkansas-grown honeysuckle vine, hydrangeas, and ninebark complement imported elements including olive branches and gilded palm fronds. The design emphasizes the contrast between structural strength and delicate blooms, reflecting Lebanon’s cultural narrative.

Indian-American Fusion Design: Sacred orange marigolds, central to Hindu spiritual practice, anchor this design in a brass compote featuring traditional geometric etchings. The arrangement combines spiritual symbolism with geometric precision, contrasting marigolds with hot pink roses and Arkansas-grown celosia in patterns that reference Indian temple architecture while incorporating contemporary design elements.

Turkish-American Fusion Design: This composition interprets traditional Turkish floral design principles of mirroring, repetition, and balance through miniature arrangements in uniform containers. Each features fragrant roses and gilded eucalyptus combined with Arkansas-grown ivy and vinca. The design honors Turkish floral traditions emphasizing fragrance and symbolic flowers while offering contemporary interpretation.

French-American Fusion Design: Inspired by classical French opulence, this arrangement emphasizes formal symmetry and luxurious abundance. Premium garden roses cascade over compote edges, complemented by Arkansas-grown amaranthus, feather celosia, and abelia. Gilded eucalyptus and intricate foliage create structured formality balanced with natural beauty, reflecting French design’s emphasis on sophisticated elegance.

Wiles researched the philosophical foundations governing each culture’s relationship with flowers and nature, focusing on symbolic meaning rather than surface aesthetics. Nearly half of the materials in each arrangement are sourced from Ozark Mountains region farms, creating dialogue between global design traditions and Arkansas terroir.

Each arrangement was designed for the FUSION360° event’s five-course international fusion menu, with florals coordinating with corresponding cultural cuisines. The collection was photographed by Lori Sparkman Photography for ongoing documentation and potential reproduction.

The collection debuted at FUSION360°, an intimate culinary experience featuring international fusion cuisine by Chef Serge Krikorian of Vibrant Occasions Catering, paired with wines selected by François Guilloux of VINO Distribution. The event supported Arkansas Foodbank in recognition of Hunger Action Month.
