After a routine coronary stent procedure, the singer is taking time off his One Last Time Tour to heal

Rod Stewart is taking time off the road to recover following a successful routine coronary stent procedure.

In a statement shared with Rolling Stone on Tuesday, Aug. 11, a representative for the artist said that the singer is doing well and has returned to his daily activities. “On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage,” said the rep. “Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.”

In his own message on Tuesday, Stewart assured fans that he was “already feeling better and very much on the mend.” While he was “deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down,” Stewart ended on a positive note: “I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon.”

Stewart, who has been on his One Last Time Tour across North America since 2024, had shows slated for this Saturday at Morton Amphitheater in Kansas City, Missouri. He was also set to return to Las Vegas on Aug. 18 for performances at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace followed by gigs in Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado, and a run of shows in Mexico.

The news arrives just days after Stewart postponed a concert scheduled for Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center, with the venue citing an “unforeseen but minor medical procedure.” In June, the singer canceled and postponed a string of shows including two Las Vegas concerts based on his doctor’s advice and another show in San Diego after being diagnosed with an acute upper respiratory infection that led to laryngitis (he was later criticized after being spotted celebrating Scotland’s World Cup win shortly after). During a concert in Utah, he paused mid-performance to use an oxygen tank.
