Oppo sets the date to launch its Find X9 series with MediaTek Dimensity 9500

OPPO is gearing up for a double debut next month. The company is throwing a two-day tech party, and we’re all invited (virtually).

OPPO has officially confirmed that the Find X9 series will launch in China on October 16, one day after it unveils ColorOS 16 at the 2025 OPPO Developers Conference. (Via: GSMArena)

The stars of the show are the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, both armed with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chip.

OPPO says this silicon wonder is built on a “third-generation All-Big-Core architecture,” which sounds like tech straight out of Marvel’s Stark tower but really means faster performance and cooler efficiency.

MediaTek claims a 32% boost in single-core speed and up to 55% lower peak power consumption compared to last year’s chips.

Gamers can also expect console-grade graphics thanks to an Arm G1-Ultra GPU with fancy ray tracing, plus a custom cooling system to keep the phone’s temperature in check (no sweaty palms while heavy gaming).

The Find X9 is also claimed to last longer than your group chat battery drainers.

The standard model packs a 7,025 mAh battery, while the Pro goes full marathon with a 7,500 mAh cell, numbers that sound more like power bank specs than smartphone ones.

There’s also a dedicated AI button, because in 2025, who doesn’t need a single-click shortcut to their potential future robot overlord?

On the software side, ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, promises a slicker interface, new AI tricks, and smoother everything.

OPPO says it’ll also roll out to other devices like the upcoming OnePlus 15 and Oppo Pad 5, so non–Find X9 owners won’t feel completely left out.

Pre-reservations for the Find X9 Pro are already live in China, and OPPO’s Chief Product Officer Pete Lau confirmed a global launch is coming too.

Expect more leaks, teasers, and more before October hits.

Will OPPO’s Find X9 series with massive 7,500 mAh batteries and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip be enough to compete with Samsung and Apple’s flagship phones? Do you think the focus on battery life and AI features addresses what smartphone users actually want, or are companies missing other priorities like camera quality and software support?
