Here’s how to fix iOS 26 WiFi issues like not working properly, keeps dropping signals, or disconnecting or just being slow on your iPhone.

iOS 26 has gone through rigorous beta cycle starting from June up till September this year. Now that final version is here, you will expect it to be bug free and all but that is not all always the case. Some bugs carry over from beta to final and if you’re having issues with your WiFi after updating to iOS 26, you have come to the right place.

Below we have some suggestions on what you can try to negate WiFi issues on iOS 26 such as WiFi being just slow, disconnecting or not working at all. Ready? Here we go:

    Reboot iPhone

Like all things in tech, the first thing you should try before anything else is to give your iPhone a simple reboot to see if that changes anything. If simple reboot doesn’t work, give hard reboot a try.

To do this, press and release the Volume Up button, then the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Power/Siri button and ignore the “Slide to Power off” prompt during the process and wait for Apple logo to process to complete hard reboot process.

    Reboot Router

If restarting iPhone doesn’t do the trick, try rebooting your WiFi router to see if that helps fix the problem. You can do this from the router app, or simply unplugging and plugging the router in to give it a reboot.

    Reset Network Settings

To do this, head to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone and then tap Reset > Reset Network Settings. You’ll need to authenticate and then re-sign into your WiFi network as well.

    Toggle WiFi Assist

Try disabling and then re-enabling WiFi assist in Settings > Cellular/Mobile to see if doing this improves anything regarding WiFi situation on your iPhone.

    Forget & Reconnect WiFi Network

Forgetting and reconnecting WiFi can sometimes be enough to fix such issues. Doing this though will require you to re-enter your Wi-Fi password so make sure you have it handy before you do this.

To begin, head to Settings > WiFi, select the network name in question, tap Forget This Network, and then confirm. Reconnect to the network and see if this resolves the issue.

    Reset iPhone

This should be your last resort in case none of the above solutions have worked for you. Also, make sure you backup your iPhone to iCloud before you go with this as this will completely wipe everything off your device. Once you have made sure of that, head over to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings then tap on Continue. It will ask for your phone passcode and then iCloud password for confirmation.

Once you have completed the reset procedure, set up your iPhone again and see if that helps fix the WiFi issues you have been having on iOS 26.
