Netflix has added 10 new cast members to its hockey drama The Sticks.

The streamer dropped first-look photos from the set of the upcoming series, which is set to debut in 2027, and announced that Scott Bakula, Logan Marshall-Green and Alex MacIsaac have joined the cast as series regulars.

The show’s also added a crop of recurring characters including Bryan Greenberg as Cliff Barnes, Chelsea Fields as Alice Hansen, Patrick Gallagher as principal Montgomery, Alison Araya as Joan Garcia, Aman Smardon as Kai Becker, Krista Bridgers as Frankie Ryder and Ben Cotton as Mr. Marchbanks.

Created and executive produced by Nick Naveda, the series follows a small Minnesota hockey town in the wake of a tragedy. “A grieving wife steps behind the bench of the team her husband built, guiding a found family of wounded young athletes through a season of loss, love, and rivalry that will decide whether South Dorothy has anything left to believe in, and who will lead it into its next chapter,” the logline reads.

“The Sticks is about a lot of things. Hockey, family, love, loss, class, and coming of all ages,” Naveda told Netflix’s Tudum. “But above all, it’s a story about community and the importance of taking care of one another.”

The new crop of actors joins the previously announced cast of Michelle Monaghan, Emilie Bierre, Shai Chase, Josh Macqueen, Costa D’Angelo, Carter Shimp, Ethan Holder, Isaac Arellanes, Chloe Avakian, Caleb Baumann, River Codack, Angus Albinati and Callum Orchison.

Bridget Bedard serves as showrunner and executive producer, while Naveda is being credited as creator and executive producing alongside Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Robert Atwood for 21 Laps. Trey Edward Shults directs and executive produces the season’s first two of eight episodes.
