Michelle Pfeiffer Never Wants to Star in Another Movie Due to TV Roles

Michelle Pfeiffer prefers the small over the silver screen.

After a year turning her focus to TV roles in Margo’s Got Money Troubles and The Madison, Pfeiffer shared why she no longer has interest in film roles.

“I never want to star in another movie, I swear to God,” Pfeiffer explained during an Apple TV panel, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I only want to do ensemble pieces. It’s so much more fun, I love it so much.”

And while the Scarface actress’ film roles have been extremely critically acclaimed—and she’s starred alongside other Hollywood greats like Robert Redford and Al Pacino—she’s loving the feminine energy in television right now.

“I’ve just been so bowled over by the female performances on television and honestly,” Pfeiffer continued, “They’re just really owning TV.”

Case in point, the three-time Oscar nominee’s current role as Shayanne Millet to Elle Fanning’s titular Margo Millet in Margo’s Got Money Troubles—which also features Nicole Kidman and Nick Offerman—has been a role of the lifetime for her.
