Liim has announced his second album in the space of a year. A Sunflower Garden in Harlem Is Hard to Find is due August 28 via Three Times Louder. Accompanying the news are the AJRadico-assisted “1980” and its video, inspired by Eric B. & Rakim, as Liim notes in press materials.
“Paid in Full & Juice are just two movies that are where I’m from,” he said. “I grew up in almost every scene, and I think what those movies do for me is they spike memories.” “1980” will live on the Liim Lasalle Loves You follow-up alongside recent singles “R.I.P Peace” and “Is Loving Really Bad?” Watch the video below.
