Tuesday is new Billboard chart day each week! As all charts update each Tuesday morning, here’s a look at highlights of the latest rankings, dated Aug. 8 and reflecting the July 24-30 measurement week, according to data tracker Luminate.

Among this week’s chart stars are Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen, Charli xcx, Madonna and Tyla.

Plus, KATSEYE claims its first top 10 on the Billboard Global 200 with the debut of “Animal.” The song bounds in at No. 10 with 29.8 million streams and 3,000 sold worldwide in its first week. Notably, Ed Sheeran, among others, cowrote the single — as he did Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026),” which rules the list for a fourth week.

“I heard KATSEYE’s song ‘Gnarly’ last year when I was in Mexico and loved it,” Sheeran wrote on Instagram (July 28), alongside a behind-the-scenes clip documenting the making of the new single. “Said I was a fan and reached out to them to see if I could write them a song. We’ve created ‘Animal’ together … hope you all love it.”

In May 2025, “Gnarly” brought KATSEYE its first Billboard Hot 100 appearance. Since then, the act has notched five consecutive top 40 hits, all of which have peaked this year: “Gabriella” (No. 21), “Internet Girl” (No. 29), “Pinky Up” (No. 28), “Iconic by Mistake,” with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT (No. 38), and now “Animal,” which debuts at No. 24, marking the group’s highest entrance to date.

    • Ella Langley

“Choosin’ Texas” rules the Hot 100 for a 16th week, tying for the fourth-longest No. 1 run in the chart’s history, which dates to Aug. 4, 1958 (happy 68th birthday!)

    • Morgan Wallen

Wallen debuts at No. 2 on the Hot 100 with “Been by Now,” marking his milestone 20th top 10. He’s the first artist that has primarily recorded country music in his entire career to achieve the feat.

Meanwhile, country songs monopolize the Hot 100’s top five for the first time ever, thanks to hits by Langley, Wallen, a duet by the pair, Taylor Swift and Stella Lefty, adding to the records being rewritten by the genre.

Plus, Wallen’s album I’m the Problem rebounds for a 14th week atop the Billboard 200.

    • Shakira X Burna Boy

Even with the last World Cup goal scored July 19, “Dai Dai” remains the biggest song in the world, triumphing on the Billboard Global 200 for a fourth week and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. for a sixth.

    • Charli xcx

Music, Fashion, Film debuts at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, where it’s Charli xcx’s fourth top 10. It also launches at No. 1 on Top Album Sales, becoming her first leader.

    • Madonna

“Love Sensation” lifts to the top of Dance Airplay, marking the Queen of Pop’s ninth No. 1, and the second from her album Confessions II.

    • Tyla

A*POP opens as her second No. 1 on World Albums. Her first, Tyla, adds its 123rd week on the ranking.

    • Willow

The musically adventurous artist, now a force on Billboard’s charts since 2010, adds her second Top Jazz Albums top 10 with The Thread at No. 8. Empathogen reached No. 3 in 2024.

    • Michelle Branch & New Radicals

Branch extends her history on Billboard’s charts to more than 25 years, as her new version of “The Game of Love,” her early 2000s smash, debuts on Adult Pop Airplay. The update is a duet with fellow veteran hitmakers New Radicals and previews her EP Everywhere and Back Again, due Nov. 6. The set features other new interpretations of her hits.

    • Breaking Benjamin

“Something Wicked” hits No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay, becoming the band’s ninth leader at the format.

    • Calle 24 & Fuerza Regida

“Noche Perfecta” rises to No. 1 on Latin Airplay, where the acts earn their first and fifth leader, respectively.
