Jonas will appear as a coach alongside Queen Latifah and Riley Green, with Palmer replacing Carson Daly as host
Joe Jonas and Keke Palmer have been announced as cast members of a new celebrity edition of NBC‘s popular competition series The Voice.
Jonas will join the cast as a coach, according to Deadline. Palmer will help launch the celebrity-driven spinoff as its host, replacing Carson Daly, who has hosted The Voice since the original series first aired in 2011. Daly will remain onboard for The Voice: Celebrity as a producer on the show.
The Voice: Celebrity cast will also include award-winning actress and music artist Queen Latifah, and country music star Riley Green as coaches alongside Jonas. Earlier this year, Latifah and Green were also revealed as coaches on Season 30 of The Voice, which is scheduled to air this fall.
The inaugural season of the series’ celebrity edition is currently in production and slated to premiere on NBC in Spring 2027.
The first season of The Voice: Celebrity will double as Season 31 of The Voice and will feature a mix of music stars, athletes, actors, and other famous figures competing against one another. It’s a remix of the original series, which centers around undiscovered talent.
This will be the first spinoff of The Voice to air in the United States. The hit series has spawned multiple spinoffs that have aired internationally, including a kids’ edition in Spain. New additions to The Voice: Celebrity include a Voice Boot Camp, which will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look as contestants prepare for their Blind Auditions, and a VIP room, where contestants will congregate to watch fellow contestants take The Voice: Celebrity stage.
The Voice is produced by MGM Alternative, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and ITV Studios. De Mol executive produces alongside showrunner Audrey Morrissey, Mark Burnett, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher, and Barry Poznick.
