Here’s iPhone Air Vs iPhone 17 Vs iPhone 17 Pro Max battery life and capacity comparison after Apple announced its new iPhone lineup for 2025 and 2026.

As you may already know by now, Apple has made iPhone Air and iPhone 17 series official today. The new iPhones bring a lot of new features to the table, with iPhone 17 Pro Max being touted as having the best battery life in an iPhone ever.

Apple has now revealed battery life and capacity information of all the iPhones it announced today. Here are the capacities and battery life as outlined by Apple to help you make the right choice when ordering your new iPhone this Friday:

iPhone Air Vs iPhone 17 Vs iPhone 17 Pro Max Battery Life

    • iPhone 17: 3,692 mAh (3.7% over iPhone 16 – Up to 30 hours video playback)
    • iPhone Air: 3,149 mAh (Up to 27 hours video playback)
    • iPhone 17 Pro: 4,252 mAh (18.7% over iPhone 16 Pro – Up to 33 hours video playback)
    • iPhone 17 Pro Max: 5,088 mAh (8.6% over iPhone 16 Pro Max – Up to 39 hours video playback)

In addition to this, keep in mind that eSIM-only iPhone 17/Pro models will offer up to 2 hours more battery life compared to physical SIM tray models. It’s not clear whether the aforementioned battery stats provided by Apple are for eSIM-only models or physical SIM tray models. The reason for this is that eSIM-only models allow for a larger battery that fills the space formerly occupied by the physical SIM card tray.

iPhone Air on the other hand comes in eSIM-only variant worldwide. You can learn more about this here.
