The brilliant soundtrack for High On Life 2 is getting a bumper 4LP vinyl release – find out how to pre-order it below:
Released earlier this year, High On Life 2 is the sequel to the cult 2022 comedic first-person shooter.
“You’ve taken down an intergalactic cartel, brought humanity back from the brink of extinction, and hunted dangerous bounties to the far corners of the galaxy. Bounty hunting has brought you fortune, fame and love; but when a mysterious figure from your past reappears and puts a price on your sister’s head, your cushy life gets thrown into chaos,” reads an official description of the game.
“High On Life returns as you and your beloved rag-tag team of alien misfits shoot, stab, and skate your way through gorgeous, dangerous worlds all across the galaxy to blow up the evil pharmaceutical conglomerate hell-bent on putting price tags on human life.”
The game’s soundtrack was created by the frontman of psychedelic rock band Black Moth Super Rainbow, under his alias Tobacco. A one-disc vinyl version was available when the game was released back in February but swiftly sold out, while the full 66-song soundtrack was made available to stream in April.
Now Tobacco has pressed the full High On Life 2 soundtrack to vinyl, with the 4LP set featuring Volume 1 on red and yellow swirl discs and Volume 2 on transparent blue with purple swirl disc. The set is available to US fans for $66 and you can order it here. Details about an international release haven’t been confirmed yet but news on a CD version will be coming soon.
