Google Pixel 10 Faces Bluetooth Failures With Samsung Smartwatches – Research Snipers

The Google Pixel 10 continues to cause problems: After difficulties with wireless charging and Android Auto, users cannot connect Galaxy Smartwatches from Samsung via Bluetooth to your cell phone.

New Bluetooth problems in Pixel 10

A good two weeks ago, Google officially presented the new smartphones of its Pixel 10 series. Now the reports about problems with the devices are slowly but surely increasing. At the end of August there were difficulties with wireless charging, Android Auto and the screen of the cell phones. Now users report further problems with their new pixel 10. So there are obviously massive failures in pairing the smartphones with Samsung Galaxy Smartwatches. The Bluetooth connection between the devices repeatedly fails with an error message.

The problem affects all Pixel 10 models already available. Especially the brand new Galaxy Watch 8 series, the Galaxy Watch 7 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra cannot be connected to Google’s smartphones. The reports are increasing on both Reddit as well as in Google’s support forums where frustrated users describe their experiences.

    Connection breaks off during pairing

The Bluetooth connection between the devices already fails when the coupling attempt is made. For example, a Galaxy Watch 8 Classic could not be connected to the Pixel 10 Pro XL at all. The setup process stops at the pairing code stage, both via the Galaxy Wearable app and the manual Bluetooth settings.

Even if the connection appears successfully, it breaks off after a few hours. Users also complain about the resulting extreme battery consumption of the smartwatches, since they only work via WLAN compounds. A user describes his frustration: “I reset the watch to factory settings and now the setup can no longer be locked.

The problem lies with the pixel 10

The cause seems to be clearly in pixel 10. The affected smartwatches can easily be connected to Samsung’s own smartphones such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Even with older Pixel 9 models, the connection works perfectly, which indicates that Android 16 or specific hardware changes cause the problems in the Pixel 10.

This restriction is particularly annoying because Samsung Galaxy Watches are among the most popular smartwatches on the market. The Galaxy Watch series has established itself as a serious alternative to the Apple Watch since its introduction in 2018 and runs with Samsung’s own Wear-OS-based system.

    Inconsistent workarounds

Some users report successful solutions by reinstalling the Samsung Health app. A user writes: “I had the same problem with my Galaxy Watch 7 and the Pixel 10 Pro. I reinstalled Samsung Health and then it worked normally.” However, this trick does not seem to eliminate the difficulties for all those affected. Most users bring standard measures such as resetting the watch to factory settings or the reinstallation of the Galaxy Wearable app. Deleting the Bluetooth cache or a restart of both devices rarely lead to success.

    Google confirms the problem

Google seems to be aware of the problem. In the official support forums, a product expert confirmed that the development team is already working on the problem. However, a specific schedule for a solution was not mentioned. Since both Google and Samsung work closely with Wear OS, a solution via a software update should hopefully be possible promptly.
