ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., Sept. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The family of Nihar “Mars” Mehta is urgently renewing their plea for public assistance following multiple credible sightings of the missing 22-year-old in Garden Grove and Westminster, California.
In recent months, a community member reported seeing someone matching Nihar’s description near the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Westminster Avenue. Since then, the family and private investigators have identified additional independent witnesses who also confirm seeing Nihar in the area. Individuals within the local homeless community recognize him by the name “Mars.”
Nihar was last seen on June 2, 2023, near 1440 N. Glassell St. in Orange, wearing a black NASA hoodie, black jeans, and black Converse shoes. He left on foot and has not been seen by friends or family since.
This week, Nihar’s father and uncle—both physicians—traveled from Chicago to personally follow up on these leads and assist in the search. The family remains deeply concerned for his safety and mental well-being.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Nihar’s safe recovery.
