Damon Wayans will share the screen once again with his “In Living Color” castmate David Alan Grier with a guest appearance in the Season 3 premiere of “St. Denis Medical.”

Wayans will play Dr. Highland, who is described as “a charming but pompous new doctor at St. Denis. He is filling in while Ron (Grier) is recovering from surgery. All the patients and staff, besides Alex (Allison Tolman) have fallen head over heels for him and his insights.” The episode will air on Nov. 2.

“St. Denis Medical” is a mockumentary set in “an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity,” per the official logline. The cast is led by Tolman, with Grier playing the grumpy emergency physician Ron. Wendi McLendon-Covey, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi also star. Justin Spitzer co-created the series with Eric Ledgin, who serves as showrunner. Both executive produce alongside Simon Heuer, Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu. More Bees, Inc. and Spitzer Holding Company produce the series, while Universal Television is the studio.

Grier was a cast member on all five seasons of “In Living Color,” which ran on Fox from 1990 to 1994, while Wayans starred in the first three seasons and recurred in Season 4. Wayans’ other best known credit is ABC’s “My Wife and Kids,” which he led alongside Tisha Campbell-Martin for five seasons from 2001 to 2005, and he more recently starred in Fox’s “Lethal Weapon” series for three seasons from 2016 to 2019. Wayans is repped by Verve.
