“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” showed no signs of slowing down as it entered its second weekend in cinemas.

“Brand New Day” added $43 million at the North American box office on Friday from 4,487 theaters. By Sunday, the Marvel-Sony tentpole should swing to $143 million, which represents about a 60% decline from its record-breaking $360 million debut. Those earnings would push “Brand New Day’s” domestic haul to $653 million through weekend two.

On Wednesday, “Brand New Day” overtook “Toy Story 5” as the highest-grossing movie of 2026. While it took “Toy Story 5” since June to collect its $1.067 billion, “Brand New Day” rocketed to $1.155 billion in just seven days. It crossed $1 billion in six days, becoming the second-fastest film to reach the milestone behind “Avengers: Endgame,” which made $1.2 billion in just three days.

Second place went to “The Odyssey,” which grossed $8.8 million on its fourth Friday in domestic cinemas. By Sunday, Christopher Nolan’s Greek epic should pull in $30.5 million, dropping just 40% from last week’s total. Through the weekend, North American revenues for “The Odyssey” are expected to reach $460 million.

Outside of the two powerhouse holdovers, there was a trio of newcomers that arrived at the box office on Friday: Searchlight’s “Super Troopers 3,” Universal’s “One Night Only” and Iconic Event’s “Ice Cream Man.”

“One Night Only” did the best of the three, landing in third place with $2.8 million on Friday from 3,012 domestic screens. It’s expected to make $6 million by Sunday. Starring Callum Turner and Monica Barbaro, the rom-com follows two hopeless romantics who spark a connection on the one night of the year singles are legally allowed to have sex.

“Super Troopers 3” pulled in $1.7 million from 2,760 North American theaters on Friday for a fourth-place finish. The Broken Lizard threequel, which once again follows the hijinks of a ragtag team of New England highway patrol officers, is projected to make about $3.9 million through Sunday. “Ice Cream Man,” an Eli Roth horror movie about an evil ice cream vendor, slotted in all the way in eighth place. The film earned $1 million domestically on Friday from 1,090 locations and should gross about $2.1 million through the weekend.

Finally, “Toy Story 5” took fifth place, adding $1.15 million as it enters its eighth weekend in theaters. By Sunday, rivals have the legacy sequel earning $4.1 million, pushing its domestic haul to about $470.5 million
