Spider-Man: Brand New Day had a massive debut atop the box office, making almost $1 billion globally in its opening weekend. Though the film is still in theaters, the latest Spider-Man movie has also hit the top of Amazon’s bestselling movies and TV shows chart, even though an actual consumer release date for Brand New Day has yet to be announced.

Amazon already has a listing up for a physical copy of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on DVD, Blu-ray or as a collector’s edition 4K steelbook set. Amazon is taking preorders for the film now, though its listed release date of “December 31, 2099″ is obviously just a placeholder.
Amazon says this is a two-disc set and it also includes a digital code that you can redeem for a digital download of the film that is yours to keep.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day – DVD
This DVD version of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is available to preorder now for $34.99. Just as with the Blu-ray release, the DVD is expected to feature a slew of bonus material, which typically includes things like “making of” featurettes, behind the scenes photos, and cast and crew commentary.
So when will Spider-Man: Brand New Day actually get a physical release? In the past, there was typically a 90-day theatrical window, with films playing exclusively in cinemas before they hit streaming services or arrived on Blu-ray/DVD. However, studios seem to have accelerated the timeline in recent years, with films getting a physical release earlier and earlier, oftentimes while the film is still screening in theaters.
The Devil Wears Prada 2, for example, premiered in theaters on May 1, but was already available to rent or download by mid-June. The film was released on streaming a few weeks later, in addition to being made available on Blu-ray and DVD.
That means Spider-Man: Brand New Day could get a physical release by early fall, and if the Amazon listing is anything to go by, fans will have multiple ways to watch the superhero flick at home.
Though it’s not clear when shoppers will receive their copies of Spider-Man: Brand New Day to watch at home, there is one benefit of pre-ordering the film on Amazon: The site’s “Pre-Order Price Guarantee” locks in the lowest price between the time you place your order and the end of the day of the release date. If the price drops before then and you’ve already preordered the film, Amazon will refund the price difference to your account as site credit.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he deals with the fallout from erasing himself from people’s memories, while navigating a mysterious new threat to New York City. Zendaya returns as Parker’s girlfriend MJ, while Jacob Batalon is back as his best friend Ned.
