BISSELL FurFinder stick vacuum — Australian Review

Anyone who lives with pets (or people with long hair) knows how hair seems to migrate everywhere—even in places you thought you’d vacuumed already. The BISSELL PowerClean FurFinder stick vacuum is clearly built to fight that battle daily. It promises pet-and-hair-focused features: a tangle-free brush roll so you aren’t constantly snipping hair off the roller, a sealed HEPAer filtration system for allergy sensitivity, dual LED “FurFinder” lights to illuminate stray fur and dust, plus a detachable battery and useful tools (including a silicone de-fur strip for upholstery).

In practice, it delivers well. The brush roll largely lives up to its tangle-free promise, and the upholstery tool with its silicone strip really helps pull fur out of fabric rather than just smearing it around. The headlights are more than gimmick—once you try them, they reveal dust and fur in places you normally miss. The cordless design, relative lightness, and self-standing form make it very usable for quick clean-ups: lounge room, stairs, sofas. And being HEPA-sealed helps with allergies, which is a plus.

Of course, there are trade-offs. The battery runtime—up to ~40 minutes—is only for light (“eco”) usage. Turn up the power, especially on rugs or heavy fur, and the battery drains much faster. The dustbin isn’t huge (≈ 0.4 L), so frequent emptying is needed in households with heavy shedding or pets. And while the brush roll does reduce tangling, very long hair can still wrap around over time. Also, for large homes or wall-to-wall deep carpets, this is less of a “set-and-forget, whole-house” tool than a daily go-to for smaller messes.

If you’re primarily battling pet hair on hard floors, stairs, upholstery, or in a moderate-size living area, the FurFinder does a lot right. It’s something you’ll feel comfortable grabbing daily. It won’t replace a big upright vacuum in every situation, but as a “daily pet-hair weapon,” it’s a strong contender.
