Audrey Nuna has signed to Republic Records in advance of her new single “superHuman,” Variety can exclusively reveal.
The singer, who recently broke out as the voice of Mira in “KPop Demon Hunters,” worked with Grammy-winning producer Cirkut on “superHuman,” which releases at midnight ET this Friday. It marks her first release as part of her deal with Republic, which comes following a whirlwind year supporting “KPop Demon Hunters” that culminated in an Oscar win for best original song with Huntr/x’s “Golden” earlier this year.
“I’m honored to work with a partner that believes in investing in the future of music and culture,” says Nuna about signing to Republic.
“SuperHuman” introduces a new era for Nuna, who describes the track as a “portal.” “I wrote this song in a time in my life where a lot was changing very quickly, and I felt more perceived by the world than I ever had before,” she explains. “I wanted to capture that feeling – of redemption, of validation, of the tides finally turning. In the same breath, I wanted to quietly remind myself and others to stay human, stay open, to flow like water through all of the changes and that being more human will always be a superpower if we allow it.”
Nuna also partnered with Riot Games for “superHuman” to be an official track for the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), marking her second collaboration with Valorant following “Toxic” earlier this year.
The 27-year-old has been on a hot streak in recent years following the launch of her music career in 2018 with indie tracks. She subsequently released two projects with Arista, most recently 2024’s “Trench,” before hitting full throttle as one-third of Huntr/x alongside Ejae and Rei Ami in 2025’s “KPop Demon Hunters.”
Nuna is currently on a global festival run with performances lined up for Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026, Austria’s Frequency Festival and Belgium’s Pukkelpop through the end of the month.
