Travis Kelce is still the man.
Despite social media users being duped by an apparent AI video that showed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end with a heavier build at the NFL team’s training camp, head coach Andy Reid shut down any concerns that Kelce is not ready for the season.
“Well, he came back in good shape,” Reid told the NFL Network in an Aug. 4 interview. “I know everybody’s out there saying he’s got the dad body and all this stuff, but he looks the same to me that he’s always looked,”
In fact, he said the 36-year-old is “just playing like crazy and done a nice job with everything.”
Additionally, Reid emphasized that Kelce—who tied the knot with Taylor Swift in a lavish wedding at Madison Square Garden July 3—isn’t distracted as he heads into his 14th season with the Chiefs.
“He’s focused in and ready to go and I appreciate that,” he continued. “When you have somebody that’s been here 14 years and wants to be out there every snap…where he’s gonna play hard and aggressive and not be stopped, that’s contagious.”
