The scale of SYNK : COMPLæXITY is apparent from the moment the show begins. Giant screens, cinematic VCRs, costume changes and a large ensemble of dancers keep the stage in near-constant motion for roughly two and a half hours.

Just as notable was the consistency of the four members at its center.

Karina, Winter, Giselle and Ningning spent much of the night singing through demanding choreography and tightly coordinated formations, with little visible drop in energy as the concert moved toward its final songs. Across hair-whipping dance breaks, rapid transitions and songs that often require them to project both physical force and vocal control, the four maintained a remarkably steady presence.

Nearly six years into their career, they have also become more distinct performers. Karina’s cool control, Winter’s precision, Giselle’s looseness and Ningning’s vocal power register differently onstage, but the concert repeatedly showed how those qualities gain another kind of force when they return to the same formation.

That may ultimately be what SYNK : COMPLæXITY captures best about aespa at this point in their career. The mythology continues to expand, the production keeps getting larger and the members have more room than ever to establish themselves individually, yet the strongest image is still Karina, Winter, Giselle and Ningning standing together at the center of it.

SYNK : COMPLæXITY continues Aug. 11 at Taipei Dome before moving to Latin America, beginning Sept. 4 in São Paulo with stops in Santiago, Lima and Mexico City. The U.S. and Canada leg opens Sept. 15 at TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, and runs through Oct. 11 in Vancouver, with dates in Belmont Park, N.Y., Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Oakland and Seattle. The 26-date tour resumes in Europe on Jan. 14, 2027, in Manchester, England, and concludes Feb. 2 at Paris’ Accor Arena.
