Diablo 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Leak Details Release Date, Price and Code in a Box Physical Release

Blizzard will launch Diablo 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 next month, a fresh leak has revealed.

As reported by Dealabs’ ever-reliable billbil-kun, the Switch 2 version of Diablo 4 will arrive in mid-September priced at $69.99 / £62.99 / €69.99, more than three years after the game first debuted on PC, PlayStation and Xbox back in June 2023.

Alongside a digital launch via the eShop, the game’s Switch 2 port will also be released with a physical edition — though this will just contain a digital download code in an otherwise empty box. (Yes, there’s not even a Game-Key Card here.)

An exact release date isn’t yet available, though it’s reported that the game will launch during the third week of September, on either Tuesday 15 or Friday 18. It’s also unclear whether the game’s Lord of Hatred expansion will also be included.

Today’s leak follows months of expectation that Blizzard is prepping an official Switch 2 launch for the game, which has previously popped up on a couple of ratings boards. Exactly when the company will formally announce the port remains to be seen, though we are now just weeks away from the annual Gamescom extravaganza, which once again takes place in Cologne, Germany later this month.

While Diablo 4 may be several years’ old at this point, the game still enjoys a dedicated playerbase and received its second big expansion only in April. In May, the game’s secret cow level was finally discovered — though after such a long build-up, some players were left a little disappointed.

“Diablo 4 is a stunning sequel with near perfect endgame and progression design that makes it absolutely excruciating to put down,” we wrote in IGN’s Diablo 4 review, which returned a devilish 9/10 score.
