WHAT TO KNOW: It’s quickly transformed into arguably the greatest current rivalry in the NBA. The Thunder won their first title at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, and were favored all year long during 2025-26. But the Spurs had other plans, knocking off the defending champions in a contentious seven-game West finals this past season. Now, the West juggernauts tip off the 2026-27 season. Last season, OKC was not an underdog in a single game until Feb. 4 … at San Antonio. Now, the Thunder are an underdog on Night 1.
