The Favorite: Kyle is crushing again. Philadelphia’s masher, as of July 19, is leading baseball in home runs (33), a few ahead of Houston’s Yordan Alvarez (31) and Colorado’s Hunter Goodman (30). Schwarber isn’t new to this. He led the NL in home runs in 2022 (46), hit 47 in 2023, and then led the NL again in 2025 (56). He’s now on pace to hit 53 this season.
Hunting The Crown: Colorado’s Goodman appears to be this year’s version of Cal Raleigh from last season. Goodman has 30 home runs in 346 at-bats this season. Last year, he had 31 home runs in 540 at-bats across the entire season. Raleigh followed a similar trajectory in recent years. In 2024, Raleigh hit 34 homers in 546 at-bats, and then exploded for 60 home runs in 596 at-bats in 2025. Could Goodman be on the same explosive path?
