The Big Ten isn’t quite shaping up the way most thought it would in 2025.

Here is what to know about the Big Ten title oddsboard:
The Favorite: Fresh off a CFP title win, the Buckeyes sit atop the oddsboard to win the Big Ten title. They entered the season at +200 to win the title, but after starting 6-0, they have moved to -150. It has been five years since Ohio State was crowned the Big Ten champ. The last time the Buckeyes won the conference was in 2020, when they defeated Northwestern 22-10. Since the Big Ten Championship Game began in 2011, the Buckeyes have claimed the Big Ten title five times: 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Ohio State finished its 2024-25 season fourth in the conference with a 7-2 record. It has six Big Ten games remaining, but none against currently-ranked opponents. The Buckeyes will end the regular season hosting Michigan on Nov. 29. The Wolverines have claimed victory in the rivalry for four consecutive seasons.
The Usurper: Indiana came into the season ranked 20th in the country, behind five other Big Ten teams — Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Illinois and Michigan. Now, at 6-0, the Hoosiers are the No. 3 team in the AP poll and received three first-place votes going into Week 8, after knocking off then-No. 3 Oregon in Eugene in Week 7. Indiana has also skyrocketed to second on the Big Ten title oddsboard.
Not-So-Happy Valley: Things were looking bright for Penn State entering the 2025 season. It was ranked No. 2 in the country, just behind Texas and one slot ahead of Ohio State. It had a Heisman candidate returning at quarterback in Drew Allar. It would have to travel to OSU during the season, but would get both Oregon and Indiana at home. What could go wrong? Well, how about everything? The Nittany Lions started off 3-0 but lost in double overtime at home to the Ducks in Week 5. In Week 6, they shockingly fell to a winless UCLA team on the road, and this past week, they lost at home to Northwestern, losing Allar to a season-ending leg injury in the process. After the loss, longtime head coach James Franklin was fired. After opening the year at +220 to win the Big Ten title, Penn State’s odds are no longer available at DraftKings.
