Xbox Cloud Gaming Is Finally Out Of Beta

The wait is finally over. Microsoft today has announced that its popular Xbox Cloud Gaming service is finally coming out of beta. The service, which was first launched back in 2020, has carried the beta tag since its inception but after five long years, the company deemed it fit to drop the beta tag.

Apart from that, Microsoft is also improving the visual streaming quality and resolution for those users who are subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate.

What this means is that Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will now be able to enjoy streaming of select games in 1440p resolution, and they will also have shortest possible wait time.

This is possibly the first time Microsoft is improving visual quality of games as well as load times of game streaming. Keep in mind that higher 1440p resolution upgrade wont be available for all games and will only be available for select games, with Microsoft slowly adding this feature to more games in due time.

The expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming to Microsoft’s new Xbox Game Pass Essential and Premium tiers will enable a wider range of Xbox enthusiasts to access cloud games they own or titles from the Game Pass library. This probably marks the first instance where Microsoft has extended cloud access beyond its top Ultimate plan.
