Davis and Rocky Mount Mayor Sandy Roberson, also a Republican, have already filed federal candidate paperwork for the 1st District seat in 2026. The official state…
Americans are expected to rein in spending this holiday season by the most amount since the pandemic, as they continue to face pressure from high prices and tariffs. That’s according to a new survey released by accounting firm PwC on Wednesday, which predicts Americans this year will reduce holiday spending to $1,552 a person on average, which is 5% less than in 2024. That includes spending on gifts, travel, food and entertainment. If the predictions come to pass, it would represent the most significant drop in holiday spending since 2020. Heading toward fall, Americans are continuing to rate the U.S. economy negatively, as most pick “uncertain” and “struggling” to describe its current state. Ratings dipped again slightly over the last month. A third of Americans pick the descriptors “rebounding” or “expanding.” (Respondents could pick multiple words.) And more than twice as many said “unfair” as “fair.”Positive views of the economy have been hovering in a range in the 30s all year. They had ticked up slightly toward the end of July, though today it’s above the low hit back in the winter. Behind those views is much the same…
Looking back through the archives, the last time we wrote about Androidify would be 2015, a solid 10 years ago. Harnessing Gemini, Imagen 3 and Veo 3, long gone are the days of simple little bugdroids, with the app now spitting out 3D illustrations with vibrant colors. The way it works is simple for users, but in the background there is a lot happening. Google made a whole developer-centric blog on the process. You can read about it here, but for us, it all seems…
