SNL will return to British shores on September 12.

Sky has announced that the second season of Saturday Night Live UK will run for six episodes before taking a break and returning in early 2027.

The Comcast-owned broadcaster, which is in the process of securing regulatory approval for a takeover of ITV, added that Season 2 will welcome back the same cast members.

It means a return for Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

Guest presenters for Season 2 are yet to be announced. Season 1 hosts included Tina Fey, Hannah Waddingham, and Nicola Coughlan.

Laura Claxton has been promoted to co-head writer, joining existing head writer Jonno Johnson. Liz Clare returns as director. Heather MacVean joins as costume designer and Sinead Oldnall is heading up the UK talent team as director of onscreen talent.

SNL UK is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video. Lorne Michaels serves as executive producer. James Longman is lead producer.

UTAS UK Productions is overseen by Managing Director Helen Kruger Bratt. Andy Charles Smith serves as lead producer for UTAS UK Productions with Shanna Baynard as executive in charge of production alongside Hannah Peddar, production executive.

SNL UK was commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones, executive director of unscripted originals at Sky. Other executives overseeing the series include Alex Moody, head of comedy commissioning at Sky, and Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and chief content officer for Sky.
