Slash has teased the possibility of a new Guns N’ Roses album.

In a podcast interview with Rolling Stone Australia, Slash reported that there was “a lot of writing going on” within the band – and that the rockers hoped to get in the studio soon.
The band have not released a full-length album since 2008’s much-delayed ‘Chinese Democracy’, while the last LP that either Slash or bassist Duff McKagan appeared on was the 1993 covers album ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’
However, Slash said that any new material would have to be recorded after his new collaborative album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators is released. “We just finished the new record that’s coming out after this Guns [N’ Roses] tour, and then we’re gonna go on the road,” he told Rolling Stone Australia. “It comes out in February [2027]. So right after this [Guns N’ Roses] tour’s over, that one starts up…”
Slash added that he had “no inclination” of breaking up with Guns N’ Roses again, explaining: “I do it because I love to do it … I just love jamming with those guys, and we get together and we just play. It’s also very simple.”
Along with a planned world tour with Conspirators, Slash has stated his intentions to do an international tour for his 2024 blues cover record, ‘Orgy Of The Damned’. Watch the moment down below:
The band reunited in 2016 with a partial lineup of the group’s original members: Axl Rose, Duff McKagan and Slash.
Since 2019, Slash has been teashing new music from the band, with him saying at the time: ““There’s material and stuff going on already for a new record. It’s just that, with Guns N’ Roses, you don’t go ‘Oh, there’s a plan, and it’s going to be like this.’ That’s not how it works.”
He added: “We’re hoping to put a new record out, and we’ll just see what happens when it happens.”
In late 2025, Slash added that there was “so much material”, but any new music would come down to “having the discipline to sit down and fucking get into it.”
“So it’s coming,” he promised. “I know it’s coming because everybody is thinking about it. It’ll just happen when it happens.”
Elsewhere, former Guns N’ Roses manager Doug Goldstein has died aged 65.
