Lala Sadii is hoping to make the jump from TikTok phenomenon to Disney star.

The singer and internet personality is attached to lead a series in development at Disney Channel and Disney+. Titled “Lala IRL,” the live-action, scripted project promises to give a “behind-the-scenes” glimpse into the life of a social media supernova as she navigates school and family life.

The logline reads as follows: “Before she became a social media superstar, Lala Sadii was just a girl trying to fit in like everyone else. But now, as millions hang on her every post, she’s got plenty to navigate: jealous classmates, intrigued friends who’d love just a little of her clout, concerned siblings, and strict parents who are absolutely going to lose their minds if they find out what she’s been up to. ‘Lala IRL,’ inspired by the extraordinary true story of TikTok phenomenon Lala Sadii, gives us a ‘behind-the-screens’ look at the girl whose dreams went supernova, and the collateral damage from the blast.”

Sadii has more than 25 million followers on TikTok, where her page has racked up over 1.7 billion likes. On social media, she shares funny skits and her original music, which includes songs like “Murder My Feelings,” “Love Is BS,” “Mr. Nice Girl,” “Bubble,” “Drama” and “If You Only Knew.”

Peter Paige (“Queer as Folk,” “The Thing About Harry”) is set to write and direct the series, executive producing alongside Sadii, Lauren Gellert, Billy Mann and Endemol Shine North America’s Sharon Levy and Lisa Fahrenholt.
