Molly Ringwald Calls Secret Life of American Teenager “Worst” Experience

There is one secret Molly Ringwald has kept close to the vest.

And that is the fact that filming the late 2000s drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager was no walk in the park. So much so, that when it came to rating her filming experiences on a scale of one to 10, she placed it at the lowest.

“Yeah, that was it—the worst,” she told Andy Cohen during her Aug. 4 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “It was a hard—I mean, okay, I love the cast.”

Indeed, it would appear the issue didn’t lie with her costars, who included Shailene Woodley, Daren Kagasoff, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Mark Derwin, Megan Park and Francia Raisa, among others.

As the star of The Breakfast Club added, “I love Shailene, there were so many people I worked that were—there was one person that was really difficult. And I’m not going to say who that person is.”

But while she wouldn’t reveal who the mystery person was, she Ringwald confirmed they singlehandedly brought the experience “down to a one.”
