United States, September 11, 2025 — The Apartment Association of Orange County (AAOC), a leading trade association representing rental housing providers, real estate professionals, and industry suppliers in Orange and Riverside Counties, announced today it has reached an agreement with 950 Credit, Inc. which conducts business under the tradename Credit Rent Boost to offer positive rent payment reporting pursuant to California state law, Assembly Bill 2747. Credit Rent Boost’s pioneering solution helps renters build a credit history and strengthen credit scores by reporting monthly, on time rent payments, and also allows housing providers to comply with the requirements of Assembly Bill 2747, which took effect earlier this year.

California’s Assembly Bill 2747 went into effect on April 1, 2025, and requires landlords to offer their renters the option to have their positive rental payment information reported to one or more of the major credit bureaus. Housing providers can connect with Credit Rent Boost directly, simplifying the process of enrolling renters and authorizing rent reporting. Renters can conveniently submit their monthly rent payments, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to credit bureaus.

“AAOC is pleased to have the services of Credit Rent Boost available to its members in Orange and Riverside Counties,” said David Cordero, Executive Director at AAOC. “By connecting Credit Rent Boost with our members and other housing providers, we’re not only helping tenants build better credit scores leading to stronger financial health and long-term stability, but we are also offering housing providers a convenient way to comply with California law under Assembly Bill 2747.”

“It has been great collaborating with AAOC to simplify the rent reporting process and help both property managers and tenants enjoy its benefits,” said Gregg Watkins, Chief Development Officer at Credit Rent Boost. “Through a simplified process and seamless integration, we’re empowering tenants to build their credit history and move closer to their financial goals.”

This agreement marks a significant step forward in the rental housing industry by combining the power of technologies to improve financial outcomes for tenants and landlords. By leveraging the strengths of AAOC and Credit Rent Boost, this collaboration will help shape the future of property management and tenant empowerment.
