According to the IPhone 17 series, Samsung again uses social media for swipes against Apple. With the hashtag #icant, the Korean manufacturer is reminiscent of his folding cell phone technology and mocks about Apple’s supposedly late innovations.

Samsung trolls Apple after iPhone 17-launch

It is now a tradition, because the Korean manufacturer mocked Apple again. As soon as the Californians presented their new iPhone 17 series on the “AWE Droping” event on September 9, 2025, Samsung took the opportunity to troll the competitor on social media. Especially in focus: Apple continues to be missing folding display technology. “#icant Believe this is quiet,” posted Samsung Mobile Us to X and quoted his own tweet from 2022, in which it was said: “Let Us Know When IT Folds” – “Let us know if it is foldable.” The message is clear: While Samsung has been offering folding cell phones since 2019 and has now reached the sixth generation, Apple has not yet had a corresponding device in its portfolio.

As can be seen from the Samsung posts, the Koreans did not leave it with this one tweet. In other articles, the manufacturer also aimed at the camera of the new iPhone. “48MP X 3 still does not correspond to 200MP,” was another swipe. The company used the hashtag #icant in numerous posts to mock Apple, and wrote: “Actual innovation> Hype #icant”. In addition, Samsung spotted: “I cannot believe that some people had to wait 5 years for Sleep Score” and commented on the live translation: “We can only say: welcome to the party! #Icant”.

    Mixed reactions as always

As expected, the reactions on social media were different. Because some users praised and defended the new Apple devices and criticized Samsung’s marketing. Of course there were also enough Samsung fans who welcomed the taunts. It can certainly be questioned whether this type of marketing is successful in the long term, but the snappy social media stoves will undoubtedly not stop. Samsung has been criticized for this type of (half) fun marketing for years, but apparently you don’t think about stopping with it.
