The Apple Watch Series 11 Could Get A Brighter Display And A Color Refresh

Apple is expected to announce the new Apple Watch Series 11 at an event on September 9, and a new report suggests we can look forward to some new colors and a display spec bump.

According to an event preview by Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Series 11 could ship in new colors and with new bands.

It’s thought that Apple could choose to ditch the popular Jet Black color that debuted with the Apple Watch Series 10 over longevity concerns. It’s said that Apple is concerned about reports of current watches chipping, removing the color as a result.

The same report also claims that while the “Series 11 likely won’t be a dramatic update,” there will likely be an improved maximum screen brightness this time out. The move will make the Apple Watch Series 11 easier to read during the day, especially when outside and in bright sunlight.

Unfortunately, hopes of the Apple Watch Series 11 having a new hypertension detection feature now seem dashed. The Bloomberg report warns that regulatory issues appear to have delayed the feature for now.

Gurman also believes that while Apple is working on a new subscription called Apple Health+, it won’t be ready until next year. When it does ship, it’ll include support for a new AI health agent, Gurman believes.
